Talking Didcot ...
Maybe they could bring forward the long term aspiration of a building platform on the west curve. After all there is already an undercover route now half way from the main station through the multi-storey carpark
What is the longest distance between 'extreme' platforms that exists at present?
I'm thinking
... Watford Junction, 3rd rail lines to St Albans Abbey platform
... King's Cross St Pancras, Victoria Line to Midland Main line
... Dublin Heuston, main station to platform 10 (or is it still in use?)
... Paddington, Praed Street to Hammersmith and City
... Monument / Bank (and aren't they brining Cannon Street into the mix via subway?)
By comparison, what are the longest walks from checkin to boarding gate at Heathrow and Gatwick?
