150221 has gone too far up the Down Loop at Laira Junction and derailed one bogie, on the London End trap points.....  There are photographs circulating elsewhere:  |

As well as the Falmouth branch one. I think GWR▸ will be getting very twitchy about the number of incidents they've had in the last few months, even though thankfully no injuries have been caused.

This incident is indeed concerning.
Laira Down Loop is approx 600-650 yards in length between the Limit of Shunt signal (P495) at the Paddington end and Signal P312 at the Penzance end which controls movements from the loop.
In the last fifty years I can not recall a run through/derailment ever occurring at these trap points.

The rerailment overnight didn’t go to plan and it’s now closer to the river. The ground was too soft and saturated to support the jacks, the train is now against fence on the boundary.
Requires a crane now.

Went out for a walk round Saltram this morning and saw the train, thought to myself the angle of the rear unit looks odd, almost like its derailed, so took a photo. Came home and did a quick Google and found this forum. Thought I'd share the picture I took.
The zoom is quite far as I was on the other side of the river but you can just make out a man in orange to the right of the photo.

Network Rail staff in the aforementioned Sainsbury's car park say that is the plan as it needs a line closure to accommodate the crane.
