It was 23 mins late from Hereford and 20 mins late leaving Shrub Hill.  I can't quite see which train broke down.  Possibly whatever it was, it delayed the ECS^▸ (Empty Coaching Stock) getting to Hereford.

Nowhere near as bad as last year but there does seem to be an increase in the number of cancellations and problems over the last few weeks:

05:28 Hereford to London Paddington due 08:28 will be started from Oxford.
It will no longer call at Hereford, Ledbury, Colwall, Great Malvern, Malvern Link, Worcester Foregate Street, Worcester Shrub Hill, Pershore, Evesham, Honeybourne, Moreton-in-Marsh, Charlbury and Hanborough.
This is due to a broken down train.

A late call too, but probably not a surprise to the regulars on this service. And to add to the fun, the following 1622 Paddington to Great Malvern train seems to be a five car short-formation.

Seems to be getting worse - from National Rail Enquiries:

Heavy rain has flooded the railway between Hereford and Great Malvern, and also between Moreton-in-Marsh and Honeybourne resulting in all lines being blocked between Hereford and Oxford.

Trains running between these stations will be cancelled, delayed by up to 45 minutes or revised. Disruption is expected until at least 15:00.

With some repetition, this is the current position:

Due to flooding between Moreton-in-Marsh and Honeybourne the line is blocked.

Train services running through these stations will be cancelled, delayed by up to 60 minutes or suspended between Moreton-In-Marsh and Worcester Shrub Hill. Disruption is expected until 18:00 14/11.

The last down service which has run beyond Oxford appears to have been the 0921 Paddington to Worcester Foregate Street which was terminated at Moreton-in-Marsh.

Meanwhile, the 14:21 Paddington to Worcester Foregate Street service seems to have negotiated the flooded section, arriving at Evesham 42 minutes late having left Moreton-in-Marsh on time.

There's a 5mph check at the site of the flooding (far end of Campden Tunnel), so trains can get through with a delay.  Forty minutes sounds a bit excessive though.

I'm on the 2022 Paddington to Great Malvern and it seems to be going all the way.

Two of the three previous trains ran through incurring only minor delays through the flooded sections so you should be ok.

Getting stock in the right place for the start up tomorrow is always one of the considerations when working out an amended train plan.
