Also: 11:00 Great Malvern to London Paddington due 13:29 will be started from Worcester Foregate Street. It will no longer call at Great Malvern and Malvern Link. This is due to a fault with the signalling system. and predictably: 12:09 Hereford to London Paddington due 15:27 will be started from Oxford. It will no longer call at Hereford, Ledbury, Colwall, Great Malvern, Malvern Link, Worcester Foregate Street, Worcester Shrub Hill, Pershore, Evesham, Honeybourne, Moreton-in-Marsh, Kingham, Charlbury and Hanborough. This is due to a fault on this train.

16:22 Paddington to Great Malvern is a five car short-formation which has been reported on JourneyCheck.
The 15:22 Paddington to Great Malvern has been changed to nine cars at the last moment and departed Paddington 20 minute late.
The following 15:50 Paddington to Moreton-in-Marsh has just been reduced to five coaches (though there's a chance it might not get beyond Oxford due to late running 15:22).

It did make it through to Moreton I see as the 1622 made up 10 minutes between Paddington and Oxford with a good run and a not to stop order for Slough. Ironically, if any of those three trains should be a 9-car in an ideal world, it’s the 15:22, especially on a Friday.

Didn't pick up on these from yesterday: 1W32 1550 London Paddington to Oxford Great Western Railway service departing on 27th June 2019 This service was cancelled between Oxford and Moreton-in-Marsh due to a problem with the brakes (MN). and the following service: 1W33 1622 London Paddington to Worcester Foregate Street Great Western Railway service departing on 27th June 2019 This service was cancelled between Worcester Foregate Street and Great Malvern due to late running owing to waiting for access to a single line (YE).

On a difficult evening across the network, GWR▸ are clearly trying to convey passengers using displaced stock as appropriate. The 17:52 Paddington to Worcester Shrub Hill was started from Reading... 17:52 London Paddington to Worcester Shrub Hill due 20:10 was started from Reading and terminated at Oxford. This is due to a fault on this train.

Nice work by a Cotswold Line TM‡ today doing triple service (doors, full ticket check, catering trolley). I won't name the service here because I suspect the Brothers probably frown on one person doing the job of two or more, but it was very much appreciated. And our little one liked his free biscuits!

This seems an odd one: 15:52 Worcester Shrub Hill to London Paddington due 18:00 Facilities on the 15:52 Worcester Shrub Hill to London Paddington due 18:00. This is due to overcrowding as this train has fewer coaches than normal. First class is declassified. Last Updated:02/07/2019 17:17

The short formations I was on - and there have been more recently - led to passengers standing for long distances, and yet on some of those occasions there were two first class carriages with seats vacant. I notice that in a recent post Worcester_Passenger says that in similar circumstances the first class was 'declassified'. I wonder if any of the experts on here can tell me who takes that decision and in what circumstances?
