A happy New Year to all our members and lurkers.  May the year bring you what you desire, may it be fruitful and effective.

I've been campaigning now for well over a decade ... and much of what I do in campaigning now comes as second nature to me.  But second nature isn't necessarily obvious to others, and indeed I would wish to analyse myself and say "what am I doing here", "is this effective" and "could I do better".   With that in mind, through 2019 I'll be writing up a daily thought / tip / idea and posting an indexed blog

Read the introduction at http://www.passenger.chat/better/campaigning.html

See today's contribution at http://www.passenger.chat/better/day777.html

See an index of tips published so far at http://www.passenger.chat/better/day.html

Feedback discussions - via the forum (initially via this thread, perhaps).

Once the number of articles gets to a reasonable level, I'll add categories, search ability, etc.  Note that that links above are permanent if you want to bookmark them as are the individual page number posts.

Tip number 37 seems to have slipped under the radar...

I'm also looking forward to the 27th November 4756 (when tip number 1,000,000 is revealed Smiley)

Ah yes ... 6th Feb was spent recovering from the survey work on 5th ... I now need to recover the recovery and go in and back fill.   The project is for a year; I do wonder as I get into it how much is specifically campaigning and how much of it is just about life.

Do you have something you would like to add to this thread, or would you like to raise a new question at the Coffee Shop? Please [register] (it is free) if you have not done so before, or login (at the top of this page) if you already have an account - we would love to read what you have to say!

You can find out more about how this forum works [here] - that will link you to a copy of the forum agreement that you can read before you join, and tell you very much more about how we operate. We are an independent forum, provided and run by customers of Great Western Railway, for customers of Great Western Railway and we welcome railway professionals as members too, in either a personal or official capacity. Views expressed in posts are not necessarily the views of the operators of the forum.

As well as posting messages onto existing threads, and starting new subjects, members can communicate with each other through personal messages if they wish. And once members have made a certain number of posts, they will automatically be admitted to the "frequent posters club", where subjects not-for-public-domain are discussed; anything from the occasional rant to meetups we may be having ...
