Whilst planning my next global Madventure and reviewing previous trips, I came across these pictures taken on or around the day that David Beckham was sent off playing for England against Argentina in the World Cup.

Three pictures covering two locations. Where were I and my Good Lady Wife - giving your reasoning?

Toronto / Niagara?

Gray Line is a North American Sightseeing bus company. The bus pictured shows Barnstaple as a probably incorrect destination. Having visited Niagara in about 1989 I remember lots of old London Routemasters as tour buses which had original London blinds although they had been mixed up - the destinations not matching the route numbers i.e. Route 105 which then ran from Heathrow airport to Shepherds Bush having an improbable destination of Old Coulsdon.

Almost, but No.  (Gray Line, whilst based in North America, actually operates world wide)

My guess, based on your mentioning Beckham getting sent off against Argentina, is that you were in Buenos Aires (and, okay, google tells me Gray Line operate there and shows trains in the same red white blue stripe colour scheme).

The third image is a Mark 1 Skytrain in Vancouver, BC, Canada.

The second image is a Budd Railcar in what looks like Viarail colours. I'll hazard a guess at Victoria.

Interesting deductions, but sadly not! I've never been to South America and the England v Argentina game was in France during the 1998 World Cup. [I included the fact just to put a date to the images]

Yes.

The bus was also in Victoria.
