BBC» (British Broadcasting Corporation - home page) points west local morning news saying that an engine will be named after him today(friday 22 june)

Does any one know where the event is taking place.

The other end of the set is named after the late Mrs Joy Lofthouse, who flew ,amongst other things Spitfires in WW2 whilst serving in the ATT air transport auxiliary,based in Bristol.

PLEASE NOTE BBC1 local news is jammed between the two football matches at 18:20 till 18:30pm

Launch of Poppy appeal at Bristol Temple meads today(friday 25 october 2019)
Joy Lofthouse will also be at the event.
Not sure of the timings though.
Film footage hopefully will be on the BBC» (British Broadcasting Corporation - home page) lunch time news at 13:30pm and ITV West at 13:55pm
Local evening evening news at 18:00pm on ITV west and BBC1 points west at 18:30pm

I did wonder what the occasion was, I noticed a cone by the BTP (British Transport Police) area at Temple Meads this morning that had "Reserved for Johnny Johnson, Dambuster"
