I took the 1447 service from Fareham to Cardiff getting off at Bath Spa yesterday (I'd also like to retract a previous statement saying I've never seen staff at BS, I saw a lot yesterday it turns out), and as we approached a rail bridge over another train line, we stopped dead just before the bridge and waited 5 minutes for the train on the line below to pass and hurtle towards its next stop.
Does anyone know why we'd have to stop to let a train beneath us pass? I'm more curious then anything
