Very wild guess for 3 Oxford down platform

Thank you for that guess, but I'm afraid not.  I suspect this is going to be very much the hardest picture of the quiz, and I encourage other wild guesses ... I'll start giving hints as to whether you're getting warmer or colder as the guesses come in.

Yes, looks very spruced up. I have no idea where it is, but could give a very long list of stations that it isn't!  Grin

Logic is perhaps, then, to think about those stations from which you're heading headlines about improvements?

This is the picture we're talking about:

1.

This one also not yet guessed - and by far the most obscure in the quiz. The place name will be familiar to many of you - even if you have not been to this station!

That's the correct sort of logic ... though it's lead you to the wrong destination, I'm afraid!

Going on the rough logic that it's in the process of or has been recently done up, and is between the other pictures... Chippenham?  Huh

I note the two TVMs (Ticket Vending Machine) in the picture; coupled with the ones outside they have more at Chippenham than Swindon!

I am suspecting those are the outside ones brought inside - though there is still the one on the North side. I'm not sure if you can but tickets near the footbridge gates, nor what the arrangement will be when the ticket hall is locked late at night.
