Arrived at Maidenhead this morning to see that the 07:04 was cancelled but that the 07:02 would be on time.  Then the 07:02 was switched to Platform 4 (which didn't auger well). Sure enough we pulled out of Maidenhead and stayed on the relief line.  After a while the driver apologised for the delay as we were now stuck behind a stopping train.  Bit galling to watch several HST (High Speed Train (Inter City class 43 125 units))'s whizz past!  Still, I suppose that was the idea - sacrifice our service to keep the faster trains on time.  I just have a sneaking suspicion that one of the HST's was the cancelled 07:04 and that it operated but without stopping at Maidenhead.  Grrrr!

If i'm online I usually run with Taplow departures open.

Note 11:52 Reading  11:15 ex Padd shown 10 down, lost between Padd and Ealing.

Also 12:22 shown expected 8 late, 5 late departure plus further 5 to Ealing. System makes up 2 minutes from then on so only 8 at Taplow.

Whoops now 12 down showing left Ealing 12:06 vice 11:52. This will mean it will be late at REading to form 12:49 to Padd thus our 13:07 will be late.

So maybe gpn01 is right it is going to be one of those weeks!

The 0704 was cancelled through due to a broken down train.

Is it an HST (High Speed Train (Inter City class 43 125 units)) or a Thames Turbo?

Booked HST (High Speed Train (Inter City class 43 125 units)) I believe, although somebody could clarify.

I've only caught it twice since the start of the new timetable but each time it's been an HST.
