Do the trains have WiFi? Or can you use your mobile 'phone.

I have a 3G card on my laptop - it doesn't depend on a WiFi presence or mobile phone signals, it's satellite driven. There are a couple of "blackout spots" between London and Chippenham (my regular route) but it's perfectly OK for most of the way.

I have a vodafone3G card!

Works most places except for the honeybourne tunnel and a spot around Kingham

Depends on the transmitter I guess

wifi usually extends a fair distance - i.e. we can use it at the end of our garden (1.5 acres)

dont know how you'd isolate FC‡(resolve) unless you issues FC passengers with a code on request and made SC pay for the code - but then you'd need to change the code daily

GNER▸ (Great North Eastern Railways) did charge standard class passengers for wifi access, but National Express made it free throughout the train when it took over the East Coast Main Line last December.
