No 8 is the ramp up to praed St from Paddington.

Blast beaten to it by Surrey well done.

Might be a bit cheeky here and have another go

4 is definitely Chippenham.   Was being interviewed on the radio there the other week extoling the virtue of how the station had a bus terminal outside and level access to the platform when a bloke on a noisy motorbike promptly cycled past me and parked his machine adjacent to the machines live on air!!

Mostly right and I have added in correct station names where those answers have been given, onto the original post to help you see what remains to answer.   Quite happy for people to have a second go if they're "pipped to the post" or confirming something that's already guessed as well.

Two new machines for tickets have indeed appeared at Chippenham, and the (old) ticket office has been closed for refurbishment. There's a temporary ticket office in the forecourt, with passengers entering the station though the night gate at present.

Very interesting that the front panel of those two machines at Chippenham is offering three tickets (the commonest for single click purchase?) ... Day returns to Bath Spa, to Bristol Temple Meads, and to Swindon. Confirmation (as if we needed it!) that the majority of purchases are westward rather than to the east, and local rather that Londonist.
