I have been told that at least some of the 143s are to be painted green and themed for the lines that they operate on. I understand that 143612 is being worked on first. Presumably this is similar to what has happened to a numbers of the 153s.
Is anyone able to confirm the above?

There were some low-quality pictures posted of rumoured Pacer reliveries. I'm not sure about green but there were some line-branded ones and I think a FirstGW blue one with a small green section with the GWR▸ logo. Just a rumour though at present as far as I know, I'm still waiting for one to be revinyled into a new scheme to confirm that rumour.

I have no information on 143s but I have heard tell that there are plans to turn out a 153 with logos from a number of the community rail partnership supported lines.

I am told that 143603 has turned up at Exeter today in GWR▸ green. Not seen it myself.

143603 has definitely been given the GWR▸ green treatment - it was two thirds of the 1243 BNP▸ >EXM 2F31 service today (from which I collected SWTSMBO▸ at DIG).

603 has been holed up at Exeter TMD▸ all week with some mystery problem - even the staff don't know what - leading to chronic short formations.

Seen elsewhere due "square wheels". To help availability (or non) 143611 went to Barton Hill today for painting.

Seen at Newton Abbot on Friday. Only an external repaint, nothing changed inside, not even a deep clean.

Seen this a few times over the past few weeks and, although I agree with BobM about the interior, I do think the green livery sits very well on them.

Agreed, I think they look rather good.

I think it has suited everything it has been applied to so far. An excellent livery.

Speaking as someone who really disliked their old livery, I was quite surprised to see that they had come up with something quite so good as this new one. I could have been a little more colourful in my description of the old design just now but my breakfast beer has worn off.

611 returned to Exeter today and is now in the new green livery, which I too think looks very smart.
I suspect there is now another unit at Bristol.
603 still languishes at Exeter.
