Buses of Somerset changes ...
https://www.firstgroup.com/somerset/news-and-service-updates/planned-changes/revisions-services-30-may-2017

Quote
The following Buses of Somerset services are revised from Tuesday 30th May 2017

Taunton Service 2 (Parade – Priorswood – Crown Industrial Estate – Monkton Heathfield)

Service 2 is revised and extended to serve the new housing development at Monkton Heathfield and the Crown Industrial Estate in Priorswood. This will now provide a direct route between Monkton Heathfield and Taunton Railway Station and also between both the Priorswood and Monkton Heathfield areas and The Crown Medical Centre in Venture Way.

The route from Taunton Parade is as now to Lyngford Road, then via Eastwick Road, Selworthy Road, Blackdown Road, Bircham Road, Bossington Drive, Nerrols Drive, Priorswood Road, Crown Industrial Estate (Venture Way), A3259 to Monkton Heathfield, Yallands Hill, Bawler Road and Bridgwater Road to West Monkton Primary School. The bus will then continue for the return journey via Bridgwater Road, A38, Hardys Road, A38, Bridgwater Road, Bawler Road, Yallands Hill, A3259 to Taunton, Priorswood Road, Crown Industrial Estate (Venture Way), Nerrols Drive, Bossington Drive, Bircham Road, Blackdown Road, Selworthy Road, and Eastwick Road to Lyngford Road then as now to Taunton Parade.

Unfortunately, due to the above changes, we will no longer be able to serve the northern part of Selworthy Road, Fairfield Road, Horner Road or Victory Road. Customers are advised to check the new timetable before travelling.

Service 28 (Taunton – Bishops Lydeard – Williton – Watchet – Minehead)

There are minor timetable changes to the Service 28 timetable with departure times from Seven Ash, Quantock Cottage and Staplegrove, Westerkirk Gate being 2 minutes earlier than at present on journeys towards Taunton.

Service 29 (Taunton – Creech St Michael – Othery – Street – Glastonbury – Wells)

To better match customer demand, Service 29 is revised to run approximately every two hours. The route is unchanged with most journeys running through to Wells via Street and Glastonbury, although one afternoon journey will terminate at Street where customers can connect at Street for Wells using services 75 or 77. Customers are advised to check the new timetable before travelling.

Service 30 (Taunton – Ilminster – Chard – Axminster)

In order to avoid the need for a reverse turn at Perry Street, the 1810 journey from Taunton, on arrival at Tatworth Church, will run directly along the A358 and turn into Perry Street at Crewkerne Turning as per on journeys from Axminster. All stops between Tatworth Church and Perry Street Crossways will be served as part of the return journey.

Service 54 (Taunton – Langport – Somerton – Yeovil)

The timetable on Service 54 is revised but continues to run approximately hourly between Taunton and Yeovil via Curry Rivel, Langport and Somerton. Additionally, you can now catch both services 54 and 77 to Yeovil from Somerton Square as well as from Behind Berry. Customers are advised to check the new timetable before travelling.

Service 75/X75 (Bridgwater – Puriton – Woolavington – Street – Glastonbury - Wells)

Services 75/X75 are revised with some journeys now extended beyond Street to serve Glastonbury and Wells. The frequency is revised to operate approximately every two hours to better match customer demand. In Street, following customer requests, the route of Service 75 is revised and all journeys will serve Brooks Road, Middle Brooks, Overleigh, Ivythorn Road, Middle Leigh and Leigh Road in both directions. This restores the service to Middle Brooks and Overleigh to and from Wells that was lost when service 55 was withdrawn and now offers an additional service to and from Bridgwater. Customers are advised to check the new timetable before travelling.

Service 77 (Wells – Street – Somerton – Yeovil)

The timetable on Service 77 is revised. Service 77 continues to run approximately hourly between Yeovil and Wells via Somerton, Street and Glastonbury although the times will change. There will also be some extra journeys on service 77 in the morning and evenings. Customers are advised to check the new timetable before travelling.

Timetables for these changes are now available in the ‘Forthcoming Timetables’ section of this website.

Wording like "The frequency is revised to operate approximately every two hours to better match customer demand." suggests to my cynical mind that the frequency has been reduced, as an increase in service would be trumpeted with much more positive words. I know we have some Somerset experts around ... comments and clarifications welcome!

Service 29 is currently hourly. Better matching demand does indeed mean a roughly 50% cut in the number of buses between Taunton and Street, Glastonbury & Wells.
