Note there's nothing from GWR (Great Western Railway).

GWR (Great Western Railway) may have been unaware of this.  The news story states that it was the station manager, a Southern employee, who would not let her on to the station.

Maybe.

If GWR made / agreed with the decision ahead of time, that's one thing.

If GWR were made aware of a decision taken by Southern, properly done on genuine safety grounds, the so be it.

If Southern made a unilateral decision for what even reason, and didn't even have the politeness to inform GWR ... let's say that if I was GWR in that circumstance, I would be pretty miffed!

Have GWR (Great Western Railway) advertised their 1702 from Brighton as 'Reservations Compulsory' on RMT (National Union of Rail, Maritime & Transport Workers)/ASLEF» (Associated Society of Locomotive Engineers and Firemen - about) Southern strike days?

My recollection is that the 1702 ran non stop from Brighton to Havant.  It seems that this was the inbound working at 1528 from Chichester

GWR (Great Western Railway) via Twitter tell me that the 1702 from Brighton is not 'Reservation Compulsory' on days when Southern Railway members of RMT (National Union of Rail, Maritime & Transport Workers)/ASLEF» (Associated Society of Locomotive Engineers and Firemen - about) are striking.

Could it be platform staff disrupting the public to support their striking colleagues?
