GWR▸ (Great Western Railway) may have been unaware of this.  The news story states that it was the station manager, a Southern employee, who would not let her on to the station.

Maybe.

If GWR made / agreed with the decision ahead of time, that's one thing.

If GWR were made aware of a decision taken by Southern, properly done on genuine safety grounds, the so be it.

If Southern made a unilateral decision for what even reason, and didn't even have the politeness to inform GWR ... let's say that if I was GWR in that circumstance, I would be pretty miffed!

Have GWR▸ (Great Western Railway) advertised their 1702 from Brighton as 'Reservations Compulsory' on RMT▸ (National Union of Rail, Maritime & Transport Workers)/ASLEF» (Associated Society of Locomotive Engineers and Firemen - about) Southern strike days?

My recollection is that the 1702 ran non stop from Brighton to Havant.  It seems that this was the inbound working at 1528 from Chichester

GWR▸ (Great Western Railway) via Twitter tell me that the 1702 from Brighton is not 'Reservation Compulsory' on days when Southern Railway members of RMT▸ (National Union of Rail, Maritime & Transport Workers)/ASLEF» (Associated Society of Locomotive Engineers and Firemen - about) are striking.
