5 is somewhere on the GE Main Line between Stratford and Shenfield as thats pre-MK1 OLE▸ , but I have no idea exactly where.....   Apart from that being hardly rural, I thought it was all tarted up by Furrer+Frey. Did they miss some bits? |

Looks to me as though it had been at some point in time as the original 'Inverted V' catenery support arms have been replaced by standard MK3 (or later) ones. |

9 I agree as hook of Holland. Aware graham used a Harwich ferry recently which goes to the Hook which further cemented my belief it's the Hook

You're looking pretty much convinced beyond reasonable doubt on most of the pictures ... however there's one that still at the 'speculation' level. Would it help you to have another picture taken on the same day's round trip from Melksham, last month, at a different place?  |

Salisbury was a fluke. I'd all but convinced myself it wasn't. Attempted cross referencing with other pictures and I couldn't find any of Salisbury with arched windows and door ways. So, for want of another guess, I plumped for Salisbury.
