I notice on the Avocet (Branch line from Exeter to Exmouth) Line User Group website that there is a half price offer until the end of the year for travel from Exeter to Barnstaple (it's not on the Tarka (Line from Barnstaple to Exeter) Rail site unfortunately, which would appear another obvious place to publicise it).  They're also publicising the Over 60s offer mentioned elsewhere on the forum.

http://www.avocetline.org.uk/category/news/

However, on the online journey planner and GWR (Great Western Railway) ticket site tickets are still being sold at the full price of £10, which appears rather unfortunate.

Just to clarify, posting on the Tarka (Line from Barnstaple to Exeter) Rail site was delayed until all the relevant information as below was made available.

The offer runs from Saturday 22nd October until Monday 17th April 2017. It applies to all morning trains to Barnstaple up to and including the 12.27 from St Davids (or equivalent from Topsham, Digby, Central etc) and up to 11.59 on Sundays. It applies to/from all stations on the Tarka Line and no Groupsave or railcard discounts will apply.

Thanks for posting that clarification here, polymath.  Smiley

There's been some late changes to the offer before its introduction.  Finalised offer details here.
