Haven't seen a full and standing service like this through Cornwall before

It's the 1557 Plymouth to Penzance. In July and August this service terminates at liskeard with a HST▸ (High Speed Train (Inter City class 43 125 units)) following 30 later.

Consisted of a 150/153 combo and this was the quietest coach!

Not to surprising, sadly. You get similar scenes on the Devon Metro out of Central at the same, no matter the time of year.

Compared to the equivalent bus routes(s) rail is usually quicker and cheaper, which is what people eager to go home want after a long day.

Hopefully those 'pocket rocket' HST▸ (High Speed Train (Inter City class 43 125 units))'s will help Cornwall in the not so distant future

Always busier when the schools start up again but it usually empties out at Liskeard (when it runs through to Penzance.) I caught this train last week and it was virtually empty.

Spot on, devonport high school kids, most off at st Germans menheniot and liskeard. A quick estimate was around 75 off at liskeard.
