Sorry about that.
Had I known that you or anyone else were going to the Plough then I would have visited also and enjoyed a pint or two.
Unfortunately I took your earlier reply to mean that a visit by yourself was doubtful, and as no one else had indicated their intention to join us, it seemed likely to be a waste of bus fares/time.

Again sorry to have missed you, and hope to meet in future.

A proper intercity train has a minimum of 8 coaches, gangwayed throughout, with first at one end, and a full sized buffet car between first and standard.
It has space for cycles, surfboards,luggage etc.
A 5 car DMU▸ (Diesel Multiple Unit) is not a proper inter-city train. The 5+5 and 9 car DMUs are almost as bad.

No problem ... I was in doubt until I saw how things panned out.  There's a chance at these things of leaving with a key player to continue discussions on the London train and it's always worth leaving the option of that.

May I offer my apologies for my own inability to attend either the TravelWatch SouthWest meeting or the (hopefully becoming equally traditional) social meetup in The Plough afterwards.

I have to work alternate Saturdays, and as mischance would have it, today was the one I had to work.  Roll Eyes

I can, however, hopefully book a day's annual leave for the next meeting(s) in Taunton.  Wink Cheesy Grin
