The tried and tested formula for the Henley Branch during regatta week seems to be bearing up.  Even if it is the first one with Norman!

A half hourly service is run throughout the day, achieved by skipping Wargrave in both directions and Shiplake on journeys towards Twyford.

I travelled this afternoon and both my trains were well loaded but on time.  The usual two car has been strengthened to four.

Ticket checks are carried out both entering and leaving the platform at Henley.

Staff at Henley were very keen to keep people behind the yellow line but it didn't stop one old boy getting onto the track to retrieve a hat less than 20 seconds before the train - thankfully travelling at low speed in preparation for the station stop - came in.

He was soon being spoken to by British Transport Police.

Seems there was an epidemic...when I got to Twyford there were a couple trying to retrieve a mobile phone.....

Well yes.  Been there done that.  Mind you there were similar scenes at Paddington when the 19:00 to Bristol and the 19:03 to Penzance were swapped just now. Regulars for both trains heading to and from platforms 1 and 2!

It should be around 6 car tomorrow using P4 at Twyford to shoot in and out.
