You have the major credit - we all knew you meant Chippenham.

4. Two possibilities come to mind depending on how recent the photo is.
Manchester?

Yes indeed. Picture taken at aroud 15:30 on Tuesday I must admit it's not a piece of Manchester I'm familiar with, but I thought it must be either there or Birmingham which was my first thought.

Haven't a clue about the remaining pic but there's building work going on. So going to take a random stab at London Bridge. I'm sure there's lots of other stations having work done at the moment but London Bridge is the only one I can think of.

Alas, no ... this one's really difficult ... all pictures taken by myself in the last 18 months, and you need to bear in mind that I occasionally travel quite a distance. A quick look and I've noted that I did blog this picture last year ... rail stuff archived via http://www.wellho.net/resources/Z501.html and http://www.wellho.net/resources/Z406.html

For some reason it brings to mind the Star Ferry Terminal in Hong Kong but... your archive gives it away: New York?

Obviously not Taunton: no 'recent building work' there.
