According to posters on RUK/WNXX (Stored Unserviceable, Mainline Locos HQ All Classes) there is an article in 'Modern Railways' magazine suggesting that all of the 150/2s leased from Angel Trains at GWR (Great Western Railway) have been snapped up by the new Northern franchise when the current lease period is up.

I know our dearly beloved 143's were originally meant to be vanishing off with the 150/1s and 153's at the end of their leases next year sometime.

I have heard from a guard that the Pacers are likely to be staying put beyond next year.

The question I suppose is this: Are GWR going to have sufficient stock to run the current level of service, whilst the cascade plan appears to be getting foxed, badgered  and frayed into irrelevance by competing franchises and delayed electrification?

The only Angel 150/2s are 150202 and 150216.    That leaves 17 Porterbrook ones.

Indeed page 29 says that there will be 46 additional class 150 vehicles ex GWR (Great Western Railway) by the end of 2019.  These will be cascaded following release of 16x units for use outside the Thames Valley. So this looks like planned cascade. The timing seems to match with current planned electrification timings (I think).

This figure must also include the 2x150/0s (6 vehicles)

Current situation is:=
150/1 x 15 (30 Carriages)
150/9 x 2 (6 Carriages)
150/2 x 2  (202+216 Angels) (4 Carriages)

This totals 40, so the 150/0s.     Note that the 150/9s are to be split into 150/1s (2 Car) and with the Centre Cars to be removed (toilet fitted into one of them) and formed together making more 2x150/1s and another 150/2
