Quote from Westbury MP (Member of Parliament, or Mile Post - a method of measuring the railway in miles and chains from a starting point - usually London, depending on context) Andrew Murrison (link below) :
http://thisisbath.co.uk/displayNode.jsp?nodeId=163490&command=displayContent&sourceNode=163316&contentPK=19795551&folderPk=89126&pNodeId=163047

Quote
He said he was "appalled" by the deterioration in FGW (First Great Western)'s service, and that it was time to take the franchise away from the firm.

"FGW has been given plenty of time to improve but my constituents are still suffering from a third-rate train service.

"I think the time has come for ministers who are responsible for the contract to consider pulling the plug."

He will meet FGW chief executive Andrew Haines at a meeting of the West Wilts Rail Users' Group in Trowbridge next Thursday, and again in London on Tuesday, February 19.

I'd love to see a group of MPs (Member of Parliament, or Mile Post - a method of measuring the railway in miles and chains from a starting point - usually London, depending on context) running it.

Pay rises all round me thinks, free travel for all family too!
