You are correct, Chris. This was before the Christmas Market opened - on my way back from Bristol at the start of November from the Railfuture meeting or the Campaign for Better Transport meeting.

Picture proves that rail has a future, and we need better (more spacious) transport  Grin

More spacious yes, and in longer formations, but better would be difficult, the class 158 is quite possibly the best DMU▸ (Diesel Multiple Unit) ever (seriously, make the air-con reliable and give them a more-spacious interior, like the 175s have, and perhaps faster doors (again like the 175s have) and there's probabally not much else to improve).

Don't DOO▸ (Driver-Only Operation (that is, trains which operate without carrying a guard)) it, keep the guard (but it probably wouldn't be a bad idea if the driver unlocked the doors on arrival at calling points).
