Here's the Winter 15 Timetables for services in and around the GWR (Great Western Railway) region. I haven't been able to locate the new GWR timetables on their recently launched website. If you find it, please do post the link the below:

GWR: https://www.gwr.com/your-journey/journey-information/train-times-and-routes (scroll down the page)

SWT (South West Trains): http://www.southwesttrains.co.uk/Pocket-timetables1512.aspx

ATW (Arriva Trains Wales (former TOC (Train Operating Company))): http://www.arrivatrainswales.co.uk/timetables/

XC (Cross Country Trains (franchise)): http://www.crosscountrytrains.co.uk/travel-updates-information/train-timetables

Worth looking at Timetable 20 on the SWT website showing services running via Yeovil Pen Mill-Castle Cary-Bruton-Frome-Westbury-Salisbury to/from Waterloo

Perhaps some of the trains which start/finish at Honiton/Axminster could start/finish at Yeovil Pen Mill.

The single line section between Axminster and Yeovil Junction probably makes it difficult to find paths at peak times when a service like this would be useful to/from Exeter.

Paging RobT:

Great you've added Oldfield Park and Keynsham to table C7. Makes this pocket timetable useful for passengers from these two stations rather than having to refer to the larger C3 booklet.  Smiley

Shame on GWR (Great Western Railway).  Obviously didn't proof read the Barnstaple table in Timetable W1 Roll Eyes

It only took me 10 minutes of speed reading to spot that Tongue

There is a thread on the Yeovils on the South Western Trains Board.

I take it you are referring to 00.05 Exmouth to Portsmouth Arms on P75?

Worth posting any issues you spot here as someone at or linked with GWR can report them to add to a list of corrections that gets published on the website just before the timetable starts.

Not just that 0005. Look at the journey times from Exmouth to Exeter Central on services onward to Barnstaple on that p75 as well as the following two pages. Has someone fitted rockets to the 143s and 150s? 8 minutes to do 10.5 miles. That's a average speed of 79mph. Impressive for rolling stock limited to 75mph on a line with (mostly) a 50mph limit.

These train also call on request only at Exeter Central, going on to Crediton without bothering to call at Exeter St Davids! Except two Mon-Sat services, the first rocket propelled service of the day from Exmouth and another in the evening, that do call Exeter St Davids, but only on request.

On Sundays the Exmouth to Barnstaple services are mostly given a far more leisurely 9 or 10 minutes between Exmouth and Exeter Central. But again, if you want to board at the Exeter stations you better stick your hand out, according to the timetable.

Thanks BNM.  That was exactly my point.  If GWR can't get something as basic as its 'shop window' right then I don't hold out much hope for how it runs the rest of its business Roll Eyes Tongue

Sudden thought; Perhaps I could offer my proof reading skills to GWR Wink

Once again in Table East 2, the 0706 HST (High Speed Train) up semi-fast service from Didcot is not showing the 0759 call at Maidenhead. This stop was also missing in the pre-release version of the current timetable.

Another one for the GWR (Great Western Railway) correctors I think.
