An (almost) traditional "where's this" quiz. 1 each please for the first 24 hours (though I expect they'll all be gone long before that!). All recent pictures from my own collection. 1. Dawish - bignosemac 2. Newton Abboot - SandTEngineer 3. Tavy Viaduct, Gunnislake Branch - Marky7890 4. Weymouth - PhilWakely 5. Montperlier - Timmer 6. 7. Melksham - Chris from Nailsea 8. Kings Cross - Paul 7755 9. 10. Laira - Thatcham Crossing 11. Bristol Temple Meads - Bobm 12. Swindon - Ellendune

On the basis that any of the others could well be Taunton, based on my own track record with these quizzes, I'll go for the easy one: 7. Melksham.

William Huskisson MP▸ was the first person to be killed by a train while crossing the tracks, in 1830. Many more have died in the same way since then. Don't take a chance: stop, look, listen.

Pretty sure it's Platform 0 - the one opened a few years ago under the east side offices?

All correct to far, and I have put them all into the original post. Knowledge here never ceases to amaze me. And, yes, the "subtexts" of Platform 0 and Jersey Sidings also right! Irony alert: Is No 5 Melksham?
Irony noted! And yet a platform that's empty may mislead - the train could be full. An old blog I did in "Save the Train" days contrasted two pictures - one with a platform and apparently no-one around, and the other on a train with most seat taken; pictures taken a minute or so apart.
