In the ATW▸ (Arriva Trains Wales (former TOC▸ (Train Operating Company))) Dispute, it is the drivers from both ASLEF» (Associated Society of Locomotive Engineers and Firemen - about) and RMT▸ (National Union of Rail, Maritime & Transport Workers) Unions on strike in which case you can't have Managers or any other grades being trained up to cover a driver at short notice.  How would you source enough buses to cover a mass bustitution.   Passengers could turn up in masses for substitute buses with not enough to go round.

A planned 48-hour strike by train drivers on Arriva Trains Wales due to start on Thursday has been suspended, the RMT▸ (National Union of Rail, Maritime & Transport Workers) union has said.

The operator said it would aim to provide a normal service on all routes.

It added there may be "some minor service recovery issues" on Thursday.

The announcement followed last minute talks between the company and union officials.

Strike on today ... and (it seems) effecting at least one GWR▸ (Great Western Railway) service too:

07:30 Carmarthen to London Paddington due 11:32
This train will be started from Llanelli.
This train will no longer call at Carmarthen, Ferryside, Kidwelly and Pembrey & Burry Port.
This is due to industrial action.
Further Information
There will be a replacement coach service from Carmarthen to Swansea at 08:00 calling at Ferryside, Kidwelly and Pembrey & Burry Port.

Do GWR use Arriva drivers west of Llanelli?

Problem is Carmarthen station is full of ATW▸ (Arriva Trains Wales (former TOC▸ (Train Operating Company))) sets and there was no room for the HST▸ (High Speed Train).
