9. Portishead branch?
Yes, I initially wondered whether that was it, too - as we were both on board the FGW▸ HST▸ special on the Portishead branch line, back in September 2012.  However, the stonework on that overbridge seemed wrong: more like somewhere in Devon, possibly?  |

Near enough! It is actually half way between Polsloe Bridge and Digby and Sowton at the site of the oft-proposed 'Hill Barton (for the Met Office)' station. The occasion being the 150th anniversary celebrations of the Avocet▸ line No10 Yetminster ?.
Nope! Somewhat further afield (and the coach in the picture would now probably be in somebody's living room!) |

I notice that some local hooligan has apparently sprayed part of their platform's CIS▸ screen with black paint - which makes it rather difficult to read the train's destination ...  |

I think you can just about see the colour of the station name signs behind the lamp post and if it is any help....... assuming the couple in the picture are waiting for a local train, they will have to use their arms to request the driver to stop and they will also have a minimum of 30 minutes to wait for one of the four weekday trains in either direction as the train passing them is 15 minutes from a passing loop in either direction.  |
