I believe it is 1000 posts.  Wouldn't this have been better in a thread of it's own, maybe in the "News, Help & Assistance" board?

William Huskisson MP▸ (Member of Parliament, or Mile Post - a method of measuring the railway in miles and chains from a starting point - usually London, depending on context) was the first person to be killed by a train while crossing the tracks, in 1830.  Many more have died in the same way since then.  Don't take a chance: Stop, Look, Listen.

I'd perhaps say that having made 43 posts out of a target of 300 is more like 'making a start' to the journey, rather than being 'well on the way', but they all count!  Grin

Actually, as the question has been raised, I can offer the following additional information.

The particular forum software that we use does allow for the definitions of the various 'levels' of members to be chosen by the administrator(s).

In the case of our Coffee Shop forum, the following thresholds were selected (probably when this all started, back in 2007):

Newbie = 0 posts;
Jr. Member = 10 posts;
Full Member = 30 posts;
Sr. Member = 100 posts;
Hero Member = 300 posts.
