From my emails this morning..... Christmas - Latest posting dates
Today - Monday 28 September is the latest recommended posting date for International Economy (Surface) mail to: All non-European destinations (except Canada, Far East, Middle East, South Africa and the USA).
Tomorrow - Tuesday 29 September is the latest recommend posting date for International Economy (Surface) mail to: Far and Middle East (except Hong Kong and Singapore).

I know it's still a little way off, but does anyone know if there is likely to be the usual engineering work inspired chaos between Reading and Paddington this year (usually between Xmas and New Year)?

I must admit I thought there were plans to move the control of signalling from Swindon panel to TVSC» but perhaps that can be scheduled into the 48 hour closure over Christmas itself.

That won't be the timetable for the 27th. The normal timetable (shown as WTT▸ ) appears 12 weeks out, then a few days later the actual service when engineering work is due to take place will appear (shown as VAR or STP)

Paddington to Slough will be closed 27th and 28th December. Diversions into Waterloo and Marylebone with buses replacing other bits.

You're welcome.
I don't have full detail yet, should have it soon, but as far as I'm aware from what I have read, we will have a 2 track railway, so alterations for sure, but at least there will be trains to/from Paddington.
