I caught a couple of programs on iplayer which may be of interest to readers here...at lease one of these is a repeat but whilst they are on iplayer may be worth a watch

London to Brighton side by side: this shows a split screen view of the famous London to Brighton in 4 minutes film - left side 1953 right side 1963

Britains deadliest rail disaster : (quintinshill) looks back at the 1915 accident and goes into the how/when/why's etc
