0600 Exeter St Davids to Weymouth arriving 1100. Anyone wanting a day out to Weymouth travelling direct from Bristol, the above service calls at Bristol TM(resolve) 0747.

Direct return service leaves at 1730 arriving back in Bristol TM 2114.

Also note anyone interested who is travelling from Exeter could have a lie in and simply catch the 08:51 and change at Castle Cary if you want to avoid going round the houses.

Looked at http://www.brfares.com/#!fares?orig=exd&dest=WEY  and that has a number of interesting routes for the journey.  Out of put academic interest, which fares would apply?    Presumably as it's the same train there's going to be something Exeter to Weymouth valid via Melksham  Grin

FGW (First Great Western) website is offering Anytime Single at ^35.30 or an Off Peak Return at ^36.90.

The same train seems to be offered twice with identical fares.

Indeed, I would be highly surprised if anyone would do the journey from Exeter through to Weymouth. It's just a case of the diagrammed unit covering two passenger flows.

Exeter to Weymouth, hour drive apart at most? Or 5 hours by train.
