Personally speaking, I'd be perfectly happy to pay a higher fare if it meant having an acceptable train service to and from Melksham.

Quite frankly I'd be quite happy to ride outside in a cattle truck if it came down to it - all I really want is a service that I can rely on. Preferably one that runs in daylight hours.

Incorrect, as it's explicitly permitted by Condition 16:

You may start, or break and resume, a journey (in either direction in the case of a return ticket) at any intermediate station, as long as the ticket you hold is valid for the trains you want to use. You may also end your journey (in either direction in the case of a return ticket) before the destination shown on the ticket.

However, these rights may not apply to some types of tickets for which a break of journey is prohibited, in which case the relevant Train Companies will make this clear in their notices and other publications.

ps. If you want to emphasise a word by typing it in upper case, it helps if you spell it correctly... Tongue
