No trains between plymouth newton abbot, and the herald has a picture of bristol temple meads!!!! Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Welcome to the World of the Plymouth Herald........personally I wouldn't have been surprised if they'd used a picture of Gare Du Nord!

That's a bit unfair - there is at least one timetabled HST▸ (High Speed Train) from Plymouth to Paddington this morning that goes via Bristol.

What is fanciful is the customer advice quoted - unless XC▸ (Cross Country Trains (franchise)) have got hold of some of these Hitachi Super-Express RRV▸ (Road Rail Vehicle) bogies ...

Of course, if there was a duplication of routes that provided alternative routes at times of engineering, it would be very much less of a problem if engineering works such as these between Newton Abbott and Plymouth overran - or indeed such engineering works could be planned with a somewhat longer stoppage. Is the population to the south west of Exeter the greatest population in the UK▸ (United Kingdom) to be served via a single rail pinch point?
