Amman Valley Railway Society is the driving force behind the Swansea 9 Lines Eco Tram project to reintroduce a sustainable, affordable transport network to the Swansea Bay City Region, South West Wales and beyond.

Over the past four years the AVR Group of companies has conducted detailed studies including a feasibility study for S9L

I'm all for new suburban rail and/or tram lines in and around Swansea: I cannot understand why the 'South-East Wales Metro', the Cardiff/Newport city region and, most recently, the Great Western cities aliance do not include Swansea...

I can't help but wonder though, whether the 2nd generation rail proposal was intended as an April fool. Huge reductions in rolling stock weight? Just sounds too good to be true, and there's no explanation of how they think they could do it.

Don't DOO (Driver-Only Operation (that is, trains which operate without carrying a guard)) it, keep the guard (but it probably wouldn't be a bad idea if the driver unlocked the doors on arrival at calling points).

Parry People Movers have said they have received a lot of interest for their vehicles so I cant help but wonder if this scheme maybe one of them
