Eh?

The interiors are being repainted I believe... the whole "GWR (Great Western Railway)" colour scheme that is in the new First Class will make its way down to standard I believe.

The colour scheme looks very smart am I right in saying that the sleeper will get the most amount of money spent on it?

I have seen a few of these, although without the white wall to match if I recall correctly. I had assumed that it was an old colour scheme from somewhere that hadn't been painted pink so this has been an illuminating thread to stumble across!

Are the doors in the original post both pink on the outside? Or has the new GWR (Great Western Railway) livery made its first outing in service?

The ones I saw - last month - definitely were as usual on the outside. Think I can just make out a small strip of pink right of the window and outside on Graham's picture too.

I suspect if/when the future of the franchise is confirmed, we might see a re-branding or new livery, but certainly not before.

A rumour in overdrive among the rank and file for the last few months is that FGW (First Great Western) will be rebranded as GWR (Great Western Railway), but I haven't heard anyone credible confirm this.

There is a picture of a mark 3 in a new GWR "A FirstGroup Company" livery on the WNXX (Stored Unserviceable, Mainline Locos HQ All Classes) forum, unfortunately I think you need to be a member to view. The associated discussion seems to suggest that it is the additional vehicles to be added to the sleeper pool which are being painted in this new livery. Unfortunately I can't find any other pictures of it, but if it is a photoshop it is one hell of a good one.

I'm a little skeptical as the logo doesn't look correctly positioned at the bottom. The logo also isn't the same as that being used on the current 1st class accommodation either. The W in GWR (Great Western Railway) is level with the G and R in the photo, whereas on a refurbished 1st class headrest the W is not level, but is both higher and lower than the W and R.

Also voyagers now have "A DB» (Deutsche Bahn - German State Railway - about) Company" added to them I believe.

Is this a move towards having standard liveries that do not need to change when the franchise does - like Scot Rail?
