Last week there was also a snowglobe - from the
event website:
First Great Western snowglobe lands in Paddington stationBritish train operator First Great Western has partnered with experiential specialist Blackjack Promotions to create a giant Christmas snowglobe in London's Paddington station.
The First Great Western snowglobe will be at Paddington station until 17 DecemberThe activation, which launched yesterday (15 December) and will run for three days, will allow passengers travelling through the train station to have their picture taken in the snowglobe and printed on a photo postcard on-site for them to take away and share with friends and family, in exchange for their data.
The experience has been created to encourage members of the public to sign up to the brand^s Escape newsletter.
Blackjack Promotions will be providing six members of staff each day, plus a team leader, in First Great Western-branded uniform. Staff will be responsible for inputting customer data on iPads, as well as taking the photographs and printing them onsite.
Participants will also be invited to visit a dedicated website to retrieve and share their photograph via social media, using the official hashtag #FGWSnowGlobe.
Jamie Anderson, campaigns manager at First Great Western, said: "We want to encapsulate the spirit of Christmas and share that with rail users. This massive snow globe allows us to spend time with our passengers in a fun environment, treating them as individuals, and allowing them the opportunity to feature in their very own Christmas card."
Katie Pacifici, senior account manager, Blackjack Promotions, added: "Following the success of last year^s First Great Western snowglobe ^ whereby we ended up extending the campaign by another day ^ I^m delighted that First Great Western are back on board again this year. We^ve upped the game slightly this time around by adding a new social element and we look forward to seeing plenty of sharing activity on Facebook and Twitter."
