The usage figures for 2013/4 have been published today on the ORR» (Office of Rail and Road formerly Office of Rail Regulation - about) website, for those of us who are statistically minded.

I've done a quick filter ....
FGW (First Great Western) stations, entrances and exits, at http://www.wellho.net/data/fgw2014.txt
Whole country, entrances and exits, at http://www.wellho.net/data/ee2014.txt

Graphs, charts, etc to be updated - these figures are out about 3 months earlier than in previous years!

Wow - some large % increases on the London terminals.
Over the past 10 years an increase of 58% at Waterloo and 69% at Victoria.
Waterloo not far shy of nearly 100m in and outs a year, compared to 62m in 2004.

Castle Cary seems to be missing from official list.

There's Castle Bar Park  then Castleton

It is there in both sets of data! I had the same problem with some other stations until I sorted by station name - the listing supplied by Graham is sorted by station code, which produces a different order to sorting by long name. Anyway, the numbers you're looking for are:

I noticed that too. It appears to be correct, it has only 2 services a week that call on Sundays and is a 15 minute walk from the airport site according to Wikipedia:

Indeed, Richard.

Hanborough up almost 30000 to over 200000 in total, now far ahead of Kingham and not too shy of Moreton-In-Marsh.  No doubt largely due to the car parking increase.  More reasons not to reduce calls there to run these Cotswold Line expresses that keep getting mentioned on here!

Much improved analysis as to possible reasons for large increases/decreases which is good to see.

Interested in there being an estimated nearly half a million interchanges estimated at Didcot and Maidenhead, and only half of that at Oxford.

I notice that Tilehurst - a station I know well has over half a million customers.
Compared with Goring and Streatley with under 400K.

Both have/are recovering a new footbridge as part of the electrification work.

But Tilehurst has no lifts - Goring will
Tilehurst has one ticket machine exposed to the elements and impossible to use when raining - Goring has several.
Tilehurst up relief has no platform canopy - hence the scrum from the footbridge to train in wet weather - Goring does.

How do these decisions fir investment get made !!!
