they are all going to be gone by end of march.
shame because they would of been ideal on some of the west routes, typical fgw get shot of newer stock and get some more pacers that will keep the passengers happy!!!!!!

Solution to the SCD crisis:
use Adelantes!
Quicker, less dwell time, as much bike space, better amount of seats (ie less for the Cotswold Line).

Now, it's probably my dodgy memory again, but weren't we being told, not that long ago, that these 'new' Adelante trains would be the solution to all the problems of reliability, punctuality, overcrowding, etc.?

William Huskisson MP▸ was the first person to be killed by a train while crossing the tracks, in 1830. Many more have died in the same way since then. Don't take a chance: stop, look, listen.
"Level crossings are safe, unless they are used in an unsafe manner." Discuss.

Seeing as how they're getting a "major overhaul" I can only assume that all the issues they have are going to be got rid of before they head to Hull trains and ATW▸ (if they've signed a contract yet)

No, its not your dodgy memory : Quote from a fading notice on the 2006 service from Tiverton Parkway - Castle Cary (26/11/2007) :
Adelante was chosen as the name for the new fleet as it is a word implying modernity with speed and reliability , through its Spanish meaning of progress and moving forward.
Seeing as how they're getting a "major overhaul" I can only assume that all the issues they have are going to be got rid of before they head to Hull trains and ATW▸ (if they've signed a contract yet)
Although it was rumoured to be the case, ATW have denied that the Adelantes are heading their way.

... but they forgot to add another Spanish word, 'ma^ana' - 'tomorrow'!

So now nobody actually wants them, then??? seems that way, they are pretty unreliable and i understand quite expensive, although the daft should inflict them on someone releasing some decent stock for FGW▸ West routes ........turbostars would do nicely
