I suspect they are models of two old railway stations, being displayed at a third railway station? I have no idea where those two old stations were, but I probably have inside information regarding the third, so I'll refrain from answering further here.   |

Indeed, two models that represent (one quite closely, one more representational) stations as they used to be, being shown quite near to another station. Second one looks like Moreton in Marsh might have done a while back.
Indeed it may look like MIM, but I'm afraid it isn't ... and that's the one which to my mind is quite closely modelled. |

When I saw those pictures, I too thought the first one had an impression of Melksham about it. Is the first one Melksham?
Yes, its is ... and the second one isn't far away but will be much harder to get even though the model is much more accurate clue ... via an old image from way back  |

Along the same line, looking at sadly long-disused stations near Melksham: Seend?
Yes indeed ... Seend. Once a busy loop on the branch from Holt via Devizes to Patney and Chirton, and even with a narrow gauge connection to the Iron Works |

The image is a montage of Melksham ... and the old trackbed at Seend. Publicity thing from way back, when there was a two week closure and we feared the return transport would be on rubber wheels and run on tarmac like it does at Wedgwood. Getting lots of VIPs, including Duncan Hames who is now our MP▸ on board the first train back, and the press too, before 6 a.m. showed at a low point that we wouldn't go without a proper evaluation. |
