Who needs a fancy car when....

Good effort by Merseyrail, responding to a suggestion that a bride would be travelling on one of their trains to get to the church (hopefully on time). When you look at the video and the photos, they've clearly gone the extra mile (note the carriage decoration and the messaging on the windows).

I do hope though that the honeymoon isn't being spent in Southport.

Well - it says "Andrew, from Kirkby, and his new wife then set off to Burscough for their wedding reception" so that's change at Ormskirk or ... at Southport!

Quite a wedding.

St George's Hall: "One of the finest neo-Grecian buildings in the world." (Pevsner)

Southport: " Garden City by the sea, it has a Rotten Row, one of the finest streets (Lord St) in the North...." (Kings England)

Kirkby: No comment.

I wonder who's tulip farm in the Netherlands, the Dutch managers sourced the station flowers from?

One can see why Merseyrail scores so highly.
