Priority seats, disabled access, mother and toddler spaces ... and we've all seen offices where there's a director's car park near the entrance.  How about this new one ...

I remember there being "ladies compartments" on suburban trains in South East London into the early 1960s. A green window sticker, whereas the no-smoking signs were red.

Meanwhile, the concession I enjoyed a few years ago was parking in the 'parent and child' spaces at a supermarket with my late mother, then about 85.

William Huskisson MP (Member of Parliament) was the first person to be killed by a train while crossing the tracks, in 1830.  Many more have died in the same way since then.  Don't take a chance: stop, look, listen.

"Level crossings are safe, unless they are used in an unsafe manner."  Discuss.

I do not work for FGW (First Great Western) and posts should not be assumed and do not imply they are statements, unless explicitly stated that they are, from any TOC (Train Operating Company) including First Great Western.
