Passenger bitten on Bristol to London train - 20 Jun 14

BRITISH Transport Police is appealing for information after a 41-year-old Windsor man had his finger bitten on a train travelling between Swindon and Didcot.

The disturbance occurred on First Great Western^s 2030hrs Bristol Temple Meads - London Paddington service on Friday, June 20 between 9.10pm and 9.30pm, as the train travelled between Swindon and Didcot Parkway stations.

PC Bob Burrowes, of BTP^▸ Oxford, is appealing for anyone who may have seen the disturbance on board this train to come forward.

He said: ^This train was a busy Friday night service so I^m confident that someone may have witnessed this incident which resulted in the victim receiving a serious injury to his finger.

^Incidents such as this are extremely rare on the rail network which is generally a safe environment on which to travel.

^Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the incident and I am appealing for anyone who recalls seeing two men arguing with each other in coach F on this train, to come forward and contact BTP straight away.^

Police are currently looking for a Mr Suarez to help them with their enquiries.

But is one right to assume this was a Micro Buffet HST^▸ Set and the incident occurred there? Or did this incident in-fact happen in Coach K and someone has not realised the Carriage Letters have been changed?

I say this as I recently had a Seat Reservation in Coach F which was labelled up in Coach K... Roll Eyes

Had that been a Micro Buffet I would have been seated in the wrong carriage and class of travel for that I had on my ticket... Roll Eyes
