Six photographs - can you identify where they were taken? 1 guess each in the first 24 hours and I expect they'll all be correctly identified long before that time is up! 1. Weston-super-mare, identified by Four Track, Now! 2. Swindon, identified by Chris from Nailsea 3. Cowley Branch Junction, Hinksey near Oxford, identified by Oxman 4. 5. 6. Sheffield, identified by Brooklea

William Huskisson MP▸ was the first person to be killed by a train while crossing the tracks, in 1830. Many more have died in the same way since then. Don't take a chance: stop, look, listen.

I, too, was going to start with 1 as being Weston super Mare - but it was really rather too easy, looking at the bottom right hand corner of that picture ...

I didn't notice that until you pointed it out, Chris, and it's a daft name for a boat IMHO▸ . I was just excited to be first for the first time since I became FT, N!

Sorry, no 6. Sheffield
Yes - correct. I expected that one to be one of the latter ones to go - you are well travelled, Brooklea!

Correct. When I was up in Oxford last week, I was learning that substantial development in and around Cowley has given rise to the thought of using this line for public transport provision from Cowley. Idle chatter at " GRIP▸ minus two", or something more?

As we're now outside the 'one guess only in the first 24 hours, please' restriction, may I now suggest that picture 4 is at Chippenham Station, looking across from platform 1 to the disused platform?
