Alterations to services between Taunton and Castle Cary

Owing to a person hit by a train between Taunton and Castle Cary all lines are blocked.
Impact:
Train services running through these stations may be delayed or revised at short notice. An estimate for the resumption of normal services will be provided as soon as the problem has been fully assessed.

Incident is between Taunton and Cogload Junction, so also affects services towards Bridgwater/Weston-super-Mare and Bristol.

As always, thoughts with all those involved.

Lines currently blocked Exeter-WSM and Taunton-Castle Cary.

Thoughts with the train crew involved.

With thanks to bobm and James Vertigan, I've moved and merged two topics started almost simultaneously here.

I agree: thoughts, as ever, with the family and friends of the deceased, and with the train crew and members of the emergency services dealing with this sad incident. Sad

Incident has been confirmed as a fatality and is being treated as non-suspicious by the BTP^▸ . Lines have recently re-opened.
