Todays 17.05 Westbury-Cardiff left 3mins early (Guard self dispatched) and then left Bradford 4(ish) early, either that or it left on time and got to Bathampton in 3 minutes!

Are there any penalties for trains leaving early?

To me, it's wrong in every sense and worse than being late. People could turn up a few minutes early and find the train has already gone.

It's especially inexcusable at stations with information screens like Westbury and Bradford-on-Avon because the time is clearly displayed. Westbury has station clocks- surely the conductor saw them?

I'm also not sure whether there was a fault the other day on the LDBs, but one train I saw appeared to leave Bath Spa 3 minutes too early!

SWT (South West Trains) had some problems on new years day! Everything except the screens at Soton was saying XX.51 for Weymouth - Screens said 52!

Trains running early is bad news, one thing that Train Crew should be reported for, to FGW (First Great Western).

Sorry Guys And Girls who work the Trains but it's a real NO NO.

No one  Tongue

As according to thetrainline.com there is no such service at 17:05 on a sunday

There however is a 16:59 one, maybe it was that but delayed?

It was advertised as 17.05 on the screens, (and on TRUST (Train Running System TOPS) apparently) so it was booked to depart at 17.05

I think I should know as I was there!

TRUST (Train Running System TOPS) (and therefore TSDB) can't really cope with a Saturday service running on a weekday, which is why the screens were showing different times to reality...
