I was out walking today and came across this location.

Any guesses of where I was? I took the photos to research what line it was as a memory when I got home.

It's not the Meldon Viaduct, near Okehampton is it?  I can't remember the name of the dismantled railway, but it would have been the line that went to Launceston.

Shucks.  I thought it was a bit of a long shot, but picture No. 3 reminded me of a 'Meldon View'.  Are we allowed a clue yet, or do you want to wait until a few other folk have had a chance to guess?  Can you at least tell me in which county the photo was taken, please?! (Pretty please?  Kiss)

Its in Cornwall.

I didn't actually know where it was when I posted. I have now looked it up and know where I was and what line it was!

Yes, Rob, correct. It is the Goonbell Viaduct. I couldn't find any other evidence of the line's existence. and the cutting on the other side of the tunnel/ bridge is filled in and is at road level.

Oh, you beat me to it Rob T, I was on the case, studying the ordnance Survey maps I have of the area!  Oh well, another time.  Once I'm mobile again I'm going to take some piccies of a disused line I know that is quite hidden away, I don't think any of you will be able to guess the location, so I'll get my revenge then!
