Help please!!

My son is in London for an interview tomorrow and it looks like he will get back to Paddington at about 1915. Can someone tell me please what platform the 1922 leaves from. Also can you reasonably rely on it?

Losing an hour (until 2020) is not what he will want if he can avoid it by a bit of sprinting

Thank you

Booked platform is 4. Left hand side of the station looking toward the platforms.

Absolutely no guarantee that that will be the actual platform on the day. It departed from it's booked platform yesterday, and every day back to Tuesday (as far back as I can look) last week. Past performance is no guarantee of future success though.

When things are running normally the 1922 is formed from the 1801 from Oxford, arriving Paddington at 1859, so if your son has access to National Rail Enquiries' 'Live Departures/Arrivals' he can track the progress of the 1801 from Oxford to get a heads up on its likely arrival platform. Even then, I should warn against assumption. Allocations can change and the set could end up going elsewhere.
