Hi all,

Could anyone tell me how many carriages are usually on the 17:41 and 17:58 services from Maidenhead to Oxford ?

17:41 is a 5-car 180, 17:58 is a 5-car Turbo (or might even be a 6).

To confirm that, tonight at least, the 17:58 was a 5-car Turbo.  Ample room on both trains as long as you're boarding at Maidenhead.

William Huskisson MP▸ (Member of Parliament, or Mile Post - a method of measuring the railway in miles and chains from a starting point - usually London, depending on context) was the first person to be killed by a train while crossing the tracks, in 1830.  Many more have died in the same way since then.  Don't take a chance: Stop, Look, Listen.

"Level crossings are safe, unless they are used in an unsafe manner."  Discuss.
