Assuming no railcards and just one person travelling, the cheapest through fare is the ^44.50 Off Peak Return route:Salisbury.

I haven't found any split ticket opportunities that will beat this price. That's not to say there aren't any, just not found 'em.

At your chosen times and if booked now, there is a small saving to be had with Advance Purchase (AP) fares.

0845 Worle-Chichester 1210 (change at Bristol TM(resolve) and Cosham) AP ^25.00
1746 Chichester-Worle 2117 (change at Bristol TM) AP ^17.20

Total ^42.20

Whether a ^2.30 saving is worth trading for flexibility is a call only you can make.

Whatever you decide, if at all possible, get a seat reservation for the 1746 from Chichester. This is the ex Brighton FGW (First Great Western) service and it can be extremely busy on Saturday evenings.

The Off-Peak Return from Worle to Barnham (or Bognor, take your pick) is ^42.50, via. Salisbury.  No break of journey restrictions, so you can start/end the journey at Chichester.

Just another crazy anomaly in our fares system.
